Tattoo art and culture in Siem Reap is growing every year with more and more tourist coming to visit Cambodia the demand for good Tattoo art is rising. To meet this demand my Australian owned Tattoo Studio has been created specifically for these tourists traveling to Siem Reap in search of adventure and Tattoo art to mark their bodies and remember their trip to Cambodia for the rest of their lives.
Tattoo tourism has grown throughout southeast asia in the past ten years as more and more tourists travel to places like, Bali, Thailand and Vietnam all these places have seen the quality of Tattoo Art Studio increase, hygiene standards improve and Tattoo supplies become more available to the local artists. In Cambodia this culture is growing now. Tattoo art has always been part of the culture here in Cambodia but only now is Tattoo art reaching a new level in Siem Reap being promoted and marketed to a growing tourist trade in a new way. Promoting the western style Tattoo culture here in Cambodia is my goal and the reason why I decided to move here to Siem Reap and set up my new studio. I want to inspire the next generations of Cambodian Tattoo Artists and also work with other travelling Tattoo Artists who will guest spot with me at my studio Sovannaphum Tattoo Siem Reap. Together with these artists I want to provide quality tattoo art and a great studio experience and really try to lift the overall Tattoo culture in Cambodia to meet the standards that we see in the tourist centres of places like Thailand.
My Tattoo Blog and Youtube channel are made for both entertainment but also to give travelers and locals in Siem Reap a chance to read or see what I do in Sovannaphum Tattoo Studio. To make Tattoo culture more mainstream as it has become in Australia, we are strongly influenced by MTV style Tattoo TV and this is the style studio that I have decided to create here in Cambodia. My studio will be more interactive with people online and will also givideosve our clients the opportunity to to become part of my Blog or videos to share their tattoo experience in Cambodia and inspire other travelers to get Tattooed when traveling to Siem Reap.
I myself got a Bamboo Tattoo done when I travelled to Siem Reap in 2012, this was a great experience including the Buddhist prayer ceremony after the tattoo. At the time I would have never imagine living here in Siem Reap in 2019, but that Tattoo experience left an impression on me that now I would like to share that with other travelers. So with Sovannaphum Tattoo Studio I have an opportunity to make tattoo memories for people we can mark their bodies and give them pieces of art to carry with them on their journey through life.
