SOVANNAPHUM TATTOO STUDIO

I am an Australian Tattoo Artist and I saw that Siem Reap need a Western Style quality Tattoo Studio for the Tourist and locals that are here in this amazing city in Cambodia. We pride ourselves on our Hygiene standards, using all disposable equipment and the best Tattoo Supplies that are currently available. Many of the shops in asia do not operate to the type of Standards that are expected in Australia so I felt it was an important part of the Tattoo culture to bring to Siem Reap.

Art is also my passion so providing quality Tattoo Art for our clients is very important, I am also a graphic designer so Tattoo art is both drawn by hand and produced in the computer here at the studio. We can do any custom Tattoo art for clients, we can work off Tattoo flash sheets or do Freehand Tattoo art. We also have a wide selection of Traditional Khmer Tattoo Designs.

Our mission is to build the Tattoo culture in Siem Reap Cambodia we want to bring something to the local market here especially for the Tourists that is top class, quality tattoo art, a great studio experience. We want to build the name Sovannaphum Tattoo Studio into a name that is recognized around Cambodia by travelers and anyone who lives in Siem Reap.

INK & NEEDLES

We use the best quality Ink we can get from our suppliers in Vietnam, Sallupe Black, World Famous Greywash sets and World Famous Grey Ink Sets, we also use Fusion Colour Ink and Solid Ink sets.

We use disposable needle cartridges, various different brands, T2 cartridges, Kwadron and also Big Wasp. We use all disposable Big Wasp and FYT disposable tattoo tubes.

TATTOO MACHINES

I personally have come to like using Inkjecta Rotary Tattoo machines these are a smooth machine to use and seem to produce less trauma to the skin when using them in combination with Bronc power supplies. Many Tattoo artists used coil machines but I have found through experimentation with various equipment that Inkjecta Rotary machines produce beautiful Tattoo art.

TRADITIONAL EQUIPMENT

Our Traditional Tattoo artist uses both a metal hand poke tattoo tool and a Bamboo hand poke tattoo tool, depending on the client and how traditional they want their Sak Yant to be. Our traditional Tattoo artist has many tattoo designs that are specific traditional Cambodian Tattoos and have sacred meanings that help protect the person wearing the art on their body.

TATTOO HYGIENE

Our Tattoo shop has western standards of Hygiene when producing both Machine and Bamboo Tattoos, everything is wrapped in plastic, clip cord covers, machine covers, disposable needle cartridges and Tubes and disposable needles for all Bamboo Tattoos. This is extremely important for all our clients to have the best experience possible in a totally clean environment. Machine Tattoo

At Sovannaphum Tattoo we provide all modern styles of Tattoo using the most modern equipment and supplies. We use Inkjecta Tattoo machines and World Famous Ink to do our machine Tattoos. As I am an Australian Tattoo Artist now working in Cambodia my goal was to bring a western style studio to the centre of Siem Reap to provide both quality Tattoo work and Australian standard of tattoo studio hygiene. We at Sovannaphum Tattoo in many different styles, from Tribal Tattoo art, to Black and Grey Realism, Japanese Greywash, Colour Tattoo, New School, Old School, Traditional Sak Yant Khmer style, Mandala art and any other art that will keep our customers satisfied with their experience at Sovannaphum Tattoo Studio.

Bamboo Tattoo or Sak Yant

Many Travelers to Cambodia are interested in Traditional Bamboo tattoo’s or Sak Yant you can get them here at Sovannaphum Tattoo Studio. Our traditional Bamboo Artist using disposable needles that are professionally and skillfully tapped hand “tapped” into the skin. When it comes to this technique in Cambodia it first started within Buddhist temples, where monks would get ink symbolizing protection, faith, and good health. This is part of the Ancient Tattoo culture that grew out of this region of Asia.

Bamboo Tattoo or Sak Yant is much less painful than that of the tattoo machine, causing a lot less damage and trauma to the skin, which in turn leads to faster healing

time. And return to everyday activities or holiday (Swimming, sun, etc.). Taking only a couple days of heal time at most, as opposed to the general 2 weeks needed for tattoo

machine work. Bamboo Tattoo is an amazing experience that many travelers to Siem Reap love to experience and keep as a memory of their travel to Cambodia.

Sovannaphum Tattoo Studio also has body piercing, and also sells body jewellery. We can do many piercings here and provide clean sterile conditions to make our
